About Jessika
 
Jessika is a “songstress” through and through. She began singing practically out of the womb. Many family members recall her singing in tune as early as 2 years old. She has always loved music and found her inspiration through music.

Jessika has studied music throughout her life. She was a member of a Southern Baptist Choir growing up. This is where she began her understanding of harmonies as well as general musicality. The choir director realized her immense talent and selected her, at a very young age, to solo. Upon turning 10 years of age, she wanted nothing more than to learn how to play her first instrument, a flute. As a flutist she won several awards. Her passion for music even grew stronger.

Jessika always continued to sing if not for the church choir, for family, friends or anyone that would listen. This passion for music was not overlooked; she won a variety of awards for flute and voice previous to entering college. Upon entering college, she quickly decided that music would be her minor where is she primarily studied voice. In college she was selected for various solos by the choir director not only for her beautiful soprano voice, but also for her diverse skills in having a four octave range.

Due to Jessika’s varied background in music she is influenced by: Gospel, Classical, R & B, Jazz,  and Pop. She believes in using music as the catalyst for change in the world. Jessika’s primary desire is to inspire and heal through music. She can be found singing at community events, churches, art openings, benefits and various special events around the country.

Jessika’s new venture is the creation of a Positive Open Mic night at OH! Opportunities Café in Alternatives Health and Wellness Center. This open mic is a warm and welcoming space where participants can express themselves through poetry, music, dance, comedy, art, short stories, etc.  Positive Open Mic is the third Saturday of every month.

Recently, Dr. Mitzi Lynton honored Jessika by asking her to become one of the official "Secrets of the Secret" singers.  Jessika appears in weekly workshops to spread the good news of The Law of Attraction by song.  Visit Jessika's calendar, and  come to a workshop!
